Maryhill Museum of Art is cancelling the 2020 edition of Pacific Northwest Plein Air in the Columbia River Gorge because of concerns about the health and safety of PNWPA artists and the public. The conditions in which artists are used to working here in the Gorge may still be diminished during late July. All artists who were chosen for this year’s event will automatically become 2021 artists. Peggi Kroll Roberts will be the 2021 juror.
Thinking ahead, the 2021 Plein Air Painting in the Columbia River Gorge paint-out is scheduled to begin on Monday, July 26. Stay tuned to learn about how orientation will work this year. Work will be turned in to the museum on Thursday afternoon, July 29. The exhibition/sale will be at Maryhill Museum from August 1–28, 2021, with art pickup occurring during the day of Sunday, August 29.
