Pacific Northwest Plein Air in the Columbia River Gorge
Drawing on a long tradition of painting in the open air, this event attracts some of the finest painters from the Pacific Northwest and from across the country to capture the stunning light and inspiring vistas of the Columbia River Gorge. Awards will be given in a number of categories, including “Best Sky,” “Best Mountain,” “Best Water,” “Maryhill Museum Award,” and a purchase award. Paintings remain on view and available for purchase through August 28.

August 29  | Artists pick up work 10am-3pm
In the M.J. Murdoch Charitable Trust Education Center at the museum

There will not be an opening reception this year  Based on the size of the crowds at previous receptions, the room would be more densely packed than seems wise. That is why a fourth week was added to the run of the exhibition and it will provide a greater window for people to see the work.

Exhibition entry is free with museum admission.

Maryhill Museum of Art 10am-5pm daily, 35 Maryhill Museum of Art Drive, Goldendale, WA 98620
